The following case will be referred to throughout this Airway & Breathing module:
- A 23 yr old male is found by a passerby in the ditch of a gravel country road after being thrown off an ATV. No helmet at scene.
- At 1500 hrs on a Saturday he is brought to the local hospital in the back of the passerby’s truck.
- On arrival he is unconscious with noisy respirations, bleeding from nose and mouth with multiple facial lacerations.
